Most women aren’t blocked because they’re not working hard enough. They’re blocked because they’re not aligned.
I was reminded of this after seeing a breakthrough happen for one of my coaching clients. Her work situation felt stuck for months. She didn’t feel aligned with creating more, but also didn’t feel aligned with staying still and doing nothing.
I guided her through the discomfort of pausing—of choosing stillness—until her next move became obvious. It took a month or so.
And then it happened—she booked a vacation for her family. That moment revealed the energy pattern that had been keeping her stuck all along.
Her partner typically resists the vacation-planning process, only to agree at the last minute, causing unnecessary stress every time. This time, she stopped waiting for permission, knowing he’d say yes in the end anyway. What she did want was to book a trip with ease and enjoy it. So she did. And everything shifted.
He sensed her determination (energy shift) and rose to meet her. Not only was he happy to go on the vacation, but he also became open to moving if it meant it was good for her career. And that if they decided to stay put, they could work on their house and make it truly their own, both things he had resisted in the past.
Because my client released her resistance and claimed what she wanted, resistance in other areas of her life began to dissolve, too.
I told her it wasn’t a total surprise because whatever your energy demands, that’s what you receive. What a blessing her partner was in tune enough to shift with her.
By focusing on what she did want, rather than what she didn’t want, she made her energy such that the Universe had a clear and fast path to giving her what she wanted.
So, how do we get aligned with what we want? Here’s the process I return to over and over again—both in my life and with my clients.
Step 1: Get still
This one needs no explanation. Most of us are stretched too thin. We listen to podcasts while we cook and drive, plan around children’s schedules, and even downtime is filled with noise like social media or streaming.
But manifestation requires space. It’s a receptive act. The more at home you feel in your body, the more connected you are to Source—and that’s where your power lives.
Your next manifestation could come in any form: a moment of clarity, an unexpected opportunity, a restful exhale. But first, you need stillness.
Step 2: Regulate your nervous system
Stillness gives you a moment to check in. What’s your body telling you? If it’s buzzing, tense, or flooded, give it what it needs.
Tap for ten minutes. Meditate for five. Lie down. Do nothing.
Often, the brain needs a break from consuming and processing information.
Step 3: Get honest about what you want
Here’s where so many women get stuck. Not because they don’t know what they want, but because they’ve been conditioned to ignore or minimize it.
When you’re shamed for ambition and encouraged to shrink to make others comfortable, it can feel unsafe to be honest about what you want. You’re not alone.
It’s ok to be exactly where you are as you practice this process. Your body will always tell you when something’s off.
Notice when you feel frustrated or heavy—what is that reaction revealing about what you don’t want? And what does that mean you do want?
Start small. Tune into the feeling you’re craving: freedom, creativity, ease, connection. These are powerful desires. Even if you think you want a specific outcome, like a raise or a new car, it’s often because of the way you believe it’ll make you feel. So go straight to the feeling. Let that guide you.
When I felt stuck around my business and content, I used this exact process. I sat still, tapped, and listened to what my stress was telling me: “This isn’t fun anymore.”
I asked myself what that says about what I do want: “To have fun and feel creative again.” That simple pivot in focus shifted my energy fast. I got up and wrote a new homepage I’d been putting off for weeks—fast, with joy, and total alignment.
Sometimes, the outer situation doesn’t change. But your energy in it does. Like when I was driving through L.A. traffic, tense and gripping the wheel. I asked myself, “What do I want right now?” The answer: to feel at ease and safe. I took a deep breath, relaxed my grip, and slowed down. Everything softened. I felt collected by the time I got home.
Step 4: Claim it
Even after getting clear, many women struggle to claim their desires fully. They wait. They defer. They need someone else’s approval before taking action.
But here’s what I want you to know: if something feels genuinely good to you—like starting a podcast, booking that trip, raising your prices—it’s because it’s aligned with Inner Being/Source/God—the most powerful energy ever to exist.
The only thing stopping you is a belief that contradicts the alignment. That’s it. And beliefs can shift.
When you notice what you want, don’t wish for it—claim it. Feel it. Act on it. Not through force but presence.
Even if that means soaking in the feeling for a few extra minutes. Keep following the next best thought and let the energy snowball. This is how we align. This is how we receive.
You are the most powerful co-creator. Trust what you want. Trust what feels good. And give the Universe the clear path it needs to bring it to you.
