5 ways to nurture our energy
To show up better for those we love we must create containers throughout the day that nurture our energy. Read on for practical ways to do that.
Often, when we feel disconnected or drained, we’re not spending enough time with ourselves.
Or we’re stuck in distraction cycles and busy schedules that keep us from being in the present moment.
If we want to show up better for those we love and learn to separate their moods and emotions from ours, we must create containers throughout our day that nurture our energy.
Here are some practical and effective ways to do that.
Five ways to nurture our energy
When reading these tips, do what feels most aligned and at the pace that feels doable.
A ten-minute morning routine can be just as rejuvenating as an hour, depending on your season of life.
These aren't meant to create pressure or add more to your to-do list.
They're meant to light the match that burns the fire within again.
I also encourage you to stay open.
Some of these may seem simplistic or cliche, but they work.
Morning routine. This is a free and immediate way to go from surviving to thriving. There’s no better way to set yourself up for success than to direct your energy first thing in the morning. If you want a jump start on creating one, download your free morning routine guide here.
Meditation. Meditation activates the alpha state of the brain, which is similar to a hallucinatory state. Your mental blocks fall away, and high-energy emotions can flow unhindered. Headspace is a great way to dip your toe into the waters of meditation. All you need to start is ten minutes and a love for British accents.
Journaling. Every morning, I write three pages of stream of consciousness to get the ego out of the way so I can do important creative work with fewer obstacles. When I’m feeling lower energy, I’ll write a question at the top of my page and write whatever comes out. Usually, I get an insightful, powerful answer from my higher self and feel elevated by the time I’m done writing.
Reading books. What you consume affects how you feel. I like to read books like Ask and It Is Given* by Abraham Hicks and other mindful topics so I can continue growing to higher states of living. They give me hope and a new way of thinking, raising my vibration and ability to process difficult times.
Stretching and yoga. Negative emotions can stay stagnant inside your body when they’re not processed correctly. Moving and stretching every hour helps you recalibrate and restore your energy. Here's a playlist I made of some short, therapeutic exercises to get you started.
Other ways to slow down and connect with yourself include
Going outside
Walking
Deep breaths while getting water or a snack
5-10 minutes breaks where you check in with yourself
Do any of these resonate with you?
Will you start doing one of them today?

What if I told you you could transform your life in 90 days and do it in a way aligned with who you are?
I'd say, "You SOB, I'm in."
October 1st marked the start of this year's Winter Arc.
It's a gym bro term for committing to bulking up and making the most of the last 90-ish days of the year.
What if instead of building our bodies, we build our energy and minds?
So I decided to create my own Winter Arc but instead of leveling up, leveling IN.
To connect within myself and with others for the next 90-ish days.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the noise around us.
Sometimes, we lose connection with who we really are and what we want.
How powerful would it be to show up in the new year clear on who we are and what we want?
To release things that no longer serve us and leave space open for what is meant to be ours?
To make actual progress that matters and is meaningful to us not just influenced by what the world tells us to value.
It doesn't matter that we're past the start date.
We can still use this arc energy to come into the new year re-fueled, re-focused, and ready to receive abundance.
In case you missed it . . .
Why emotions act as rocket fuel for manifesting
When what we want hasn't manifested
The thing no one tells us about manifesting

Good Question
Move up the ladder to higher vibrations by writing at the top of a blank page:
What is the best way I can nurture my energy every day?
and see what flows from your pen. No judgment or editing.
