Finding joy in the journey
Inspired by Abraham Hicks–why being happy now is the most extraordinary thing we could do.
Instead of talking about dopamine detoxing (June’s theme), I felt inspired to elaborate on an Abraham Hicks quote.
It won't leave me alone so I won't question it.
It's meant to be shared now instead of later.
"You don’t get a happy ending to a journey that’s not also happy."
Powerful.
We experience endings every day.
The ending of each day, a job, a relationship, an old belief.
Endings only exist because there was a journey, moment, or container of an experience to begin with.
This is a gift of living in the physical.
We're constantly at the edge of change.
Our divine self sees this as exciting.
The ego sees this as risky and scary.
Find joy in the journey
Many of us are robbed of joy by being in an ego-led society that sells fast tracks and quick fixes as roads to ultimate happiness.
The journey is being removed from many experiences, so we don't feel the satisfaction of challenging ourselves and growing.
Can you imagine going to the end of the marathon without running the race?
It wouldn't feel as good as knowing your feet hit the pavement; sweat came out of every pore, and the playlist you listened to months before helped you cross the finish line.
This quote reminds us that the journey is the only real thing we have.
Endings, results, and outcomes dissipate as fast as they come, and then we're on to the next journey.
This is why focusing on being happy now is one of the most extraordinary things we could do for ourselves.
We exist in the physical plane to see what we're made of.
Not to have everything made easy and perfect.
Life is about the journey, not the result.

Move up the ladder to higher vibrations by writing at the top of a blank page:
Am I allowing myself to be happy on my journey?
