Sunday Weekly: What makes expansion possible
Thoughts on breaking patterns, Kyle Cease quote, Liz Fosslien illustration, book recommendation, sparks of joy, and extra resources.
What are we holding onto that's stopping us from accepting more?
Maybe it's a thought.
An opinion (ours or someone else's).
A relationship.
We only find out when we try to become aware.
Breaking patterns
When we slow down enough, we can catch the moment we slip into a pattern's familiar groove.
Then, inch by inch, we can choose a different thought and expand to reveal our most authentic selves eventually.
It's ok if we don't like the patterns we find.
This is part of the work.
We can have compassion for the conditioning and then gently guide ourselves down the path we do want to travel.
The work of expansion
Expansion happens moment by moment.
In our quiet inner world.
No one outside of us can tell when we're catching a thought and focusing on a new one.
Or when we're behaving with more compassion than usual in a situation that usually triggers us.
This is invisible work.
But work that eventually improves the visible.
The next time you expand a little more, smile and know others in the TGS community are here with you doing the same.
Like our own secret expansion club.
Let's expand,
Francesca

Good Quote
Good Thinking
Good Action
Take note of what inspires you this week. Then, take it a step further and ask why it inspires you. Emotions are the greatest indicators of whether or not we're on the right path. Our hearts always tell us, but we have to listen.
Good Question
Move up the ladder to higher vibrations by writing at the top of a blank page:
What pattern do I feel called to redirect?
and see what flows from your pen. No judgment or editing.
Good Book
After feeling brain fog and fatigue these last few weeks, I came across an interview with Jessie Inchauspe and immediately bought The Glucose Goddess Method. It's a four-week guide to cutting cravings and regaining energy. I'm hoping that being given ideas of what to eat will help me
Studies have shown a direct correlation between glucose spikes and cravings, fatigue, sugar addiction, depression, anxiety, poor sleep, fatigue, brain fog, and more. Inchauspe's recipes are simple and tasty! Most recipes have at most five ingredients, and she doesn't tell you to count calories or cut out cheese or meat.
I've already tried three of the recipes and loved them! Let me know in the comments if you've heard of this book or want to try it, too.

Glucose goddess: After cooking a few recipes from this week's book recommend I'm feeling great and hopeful for better energy.
L.A. Arboretum: My family and I went to this gorgeous outdoor space and enjoyed gardens from all over the world. Nature heals and I want to get in it more.
Extra Goodies
Good Read: An interesting commentary asking Why are so many momfluencers Mormon? (In Pursuit of Clean Countertops)
Good Quote: James Clear on the truth about consistency:
"In theory, consistency is about being disciplined, determined, and unwavering. In practice, consistency is about being adaptable.
Don't have much time? Scale it down. Don't have much energy? Do the easy version.
Find different ways to show up depending on the circumstances. Let your habits change shape to meet the demands of the day. Adaptability is the way of consistency."Good Cook: The Glucose Goddess Method Cheeky Chickpea Stew Recipe by Jessie Inchauspe
